MetallurgyZone content is written and reviewed by practising metallurgical engineers, materials scientists, and welding professionals with real-world industry and academic experience. We are committed to technical accuracy, clarity, and practical relevance in everything we publish.
Our Editorial Standards
Every article, tutorial, and reference page on MetallurgyZone is:
- ✅ Written by subject matter experts — engineers and scientists with hands-on experience in the relevant field
- ✅ Technically reviewed — checked for accuracy against applicable standards (ASTM, ISO, AWS, ASME, EN) and established metallurgical references
- ✅ Practically oriented — focused on real-world engineering application, not just academic theory
- ✅ Regularly updated — content is reviewed and revised when standards are updated or new research is published
The MetallurgyZone Team
MetallurgyZone Editorial Team
Role: Content Direction, Technical Writing, Review & Quality Assurance
The MetallurgyZone editorial team is a collective of metallurgical and materials engineers with backgrounds spanning structural steel, pressure equipment, welding engineering, corrosion engineering, heat treatment, and materials testing. Our team has worked across the oil and gas, power generation, aerospace, structural, and manufacturing sectors.
We established MetallurgyZone in 2024 with a single purpose: to create the most technically reliable and accessible free metallurgy resource on the internet — the reference we wished had existed when we were students and early-career engineers.
Our sister site, WeldFabWorld.com, focuses specifically on welding and fabrication engineering and is run by the same team.
